Here are some answers on the most frequently asked questions.

Question: How do I download Homebrew mods?

Answer: Log into the website and then click on the mods tab in the header of the website.

Question: Where do I need to put the .pak and .sig file I just downloaded?

Answer: Go to your game files (Right click the game on steam > manage > browse local files), Click on the game folder, content and then paks. Simply drag and drop the .pak and .sig into the paks folder and your mod has been installed!

Question: I downloaded an .zip file, what do I need to do with that?

Answer: Double click on the .zip file and it should open the file. After that you’ll see the .pak and .sig file that you need.

Question: I downloaded and installed the .pak and .sig into the paks folder, but the mod is not working?

Answer: This could mean many things. The most common situations are that you might’ve downloaded the mod multiple times, which could cause the .pak and .sig files to be renamed with an extra “(1)” at the end of the file name. Another common issue is that the mod is overlapping with another mod, which causes compatibility issues. In most cases the main issue is that an older mod is still present in the paks folder, simply remove it and your issue will be solved. If not, then another mod is causing overlapping issues which can only be solved by the Mod authors.

Question: Where can I submit concepts or mod suggestions?

Answer: You can do that in our Discord server where we have created channels made for suggestions and ideas.

Question: I installed the core mod on my server correctly according to the installation guide, but for some reason it’s spamming all kinds of errors and warning in the server console.

Answer: This is normal, the mod has some dependencies that might not be installed. These errors will not harm your server in any way, it just lets you know that it can’t find these files. This must happen because otherwise most of the Homebrew mods won’t be compatible with eachother. If they annoy you, you can fix this by simply installing all of these mods and your errors will go away!

Question: Whenever I launch my game, I get an message that I have incompatible mods installed. What does this mean and what can I do about it?

Answer: This is an feature of the core mod which detects whether you have mods installed that conflict with the core mod. With the early versions of the core mod this basically means nothing besides some UI changes, so you can ignore this. But be aware that some mods can overlap the core mod, which can result into certain features not working properly or they won’t work at all.

Question: Will the core mod change core features of the game?

Answer: No, the core mod does not change core features of the game. The game will still stay vanilla if installed. The core mod will only add compatibility support for other mods, QoL (Quality of Life) features that enhance base features and extra server options. If you want to change major features of the game, then you’d need additional mods that do that for you.
